The Polish Ball returns to the Grosvenor Marriott Hotel on Saturday 20th April, for its 52nd Edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ball is one of the most prestigious events in the calendar of British Polonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ball is a fundraising event and each year, money is raised for various charitable causes. This year, the beneficiaries will be the St Lazarus Hospice in Krakow (Hospicjum \u015bw. \u0141azarza<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n

One of the aims of the ball is to promote Polish culture and history in the UK as well as to consolidate Polish-British relations. Because of this, each year there is a theme to the ball which is either a historical event or an important cultural figure. Last year this was Jadwiga Zamojska. In previous years, Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko, Adam Mickiewicz, Jan Kiepura, Henryk Sienkiewicz as well as the anniverssary of the Battle of Monte Cassino. This year’s theme will be the Reszke brothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
