Using the shape of the circle, the work celebrates the life force that holds us up and gives us momentum to move, think, live and create. Invisible, infinite energy. Transpiring through the cyclical nature of existence from sunrise to sunset, birth & death, conscious and subconscious, throughout time and space. The continuous flow of movement on the ground and in the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work draws on the artist\u2019s ongoing practice of aerial movement and Enso painting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Integrated into the performance is live Japanese Enso painting. A spiritual practice where the artist paints the work in one masterstroke, one breath and no corrections afterwards. The practice gives form to the flow of energy in the moment, making invisible synchronicities visible. Symbolically, the iconic Zen symbol represents the circle of life. The painting will remain on stage as an art installation for the audience to see it up close afterwards.\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneously, the work reveals the duality at play; higher and lower, light and shadow, our sense of connection to oneself, others, and the world, as well as our sense of separation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kamila is a Polish-British interdisciplinary visual artist. Following her visits to Japan, she embarked on an artistic career in her 30\u2019s despite having no background, education or experience in art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then she has undergone professional training in circus arts while learning contemporary abstract painting. She had the great fortune of studying Japanese Zen painting under the guidance of a Japanese teacher, which opened her to the practice of Enso circle paintings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her practice, she bridges and redefines boundaries between performance work (including dance and aerial) and painting in a contemporary art context.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her works touch upon themes of spirituality, duality, the cosmic and visual metaphors igniting a deeper sense of existence.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2019, her works have been exhibited and staged in London (Bloomsbury Theatre, Affordable Art Fair, Laura I Gallery,) as well as abroad including Italy, USA and residencies in France (Provence 2021 and Bourgogne 2022). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kamila CK lives in Lincoln where she runs her gallery & boutique stay and continues to work in London and internationally.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The practice gives form to the flow of energy in the moment, making invisible synchronicities visible. Symbolically, the iconic Zen symbol represents the circle of life. Following her visits to Japan, she embarked on an artistic career in her 30\u2019s despite having no background, education or experience in art.\nSince then she has undergone professional training in circus arts while learning contemporary abstract painting.
