Hoshii, bored with its perfect and predictable life, sets out on a journey to experience something new and ends up on Earth. Initially faced with rejection from humans, over time, the situation changes, and the entity begins to gain acceptance in the eyes of the new environment.Downbeat magazine picks Kuba Więcek as one of the musicians who has potential to shape the sound of jazz in the future alongside names like Shabaka, Yussef Days and Joel Ross.
Thursday 17 July 2025, Doors open 5.30 pm / music 6.30 pm
Joanna Duda Trio
Tickets: https://www.ronniescotts.co.uk/find-a-show/joanna-duda
Whether touching a broken keyboard, using the sound of a rewinding tape machine, or mixing in field recordings, Duda's innate playfulness allows any instrument to blossom - you get a sense that one of her greatest strengths is to listen attentively to whatever she uses.
Line-up
JOANNA DUDA – pianoMAKS MUCHA – bassMICHAŁ BRYNDAL – drumsTimes and Tickets
Joanna Duda founded the Trio in 2017, with the idea that the sound would become the ensemble’s hallmark and its defining quality. All the band members also incorporate electronic elements – effects, samplers, and sequencers.
Joanna Duda Trio has, in recent years, firmly established itself on the European music scene, regularly performing at major jazz festivals that champion innovative approaches to jazz and improvisational music.
Thursday 2 October 2025, Doors open 8.30 pm / music 9.15 pm
EABS
Tickets: https://www.ronniescotts.co.uk/find-a-show/eabs
Playing to full houses all over the world, they seek to breathe fire into jazz, ignoring clichés, exploring, and constantly experimenting.
Line-up
MAREK PĘDZIWIATR – piano, synths & vocalPAWEŁ STACHOWIAK – bassJAKUB KUREK – trumpetOLAF WĘGIER – tenor saxMARCIN RAK – drumsTimes and Tickets
They have been working on the concept of "reconstruction from deconstruction" since 2012, often redefining the classics and mixing them with the latest genres of contemporary urban music, creating a completely new quality and original sound.
The uniqueness of EABS, however, is determined not only by the instrumental mastery and topicality of their language of expression but also by hip-hop provenance and socio-political commitment.
EABS' forthcoming sixth album is a return to their roots –literally and figuratively.
