The JAZZ PO POLSKU “Around the World” project is inspired by the feats of Paweł Edmund Strzelecki, a Polish traveler who was the first Pole to circumnavigate the World out of his own initiative. Strzelecki went through a remarkable journey in the years 1834-1843, during which he conducted broad geological and geographical research, contributing to the development of knowledge about the contemporary world.

The project is carried out by the JAZZ PO POLSKU Foundation in collaboration with Polish diplomatic missions around the World, as well as with a number of local partners. The honorary patronage over the project has been taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its 2024 partners include: Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Polish Institute in New Delhi, Polish Airlines – LOT and the Industrial Development Agency Foundation. Patrons: Polish Radio Programe III, Polish Press Agency, and Jazz Forum Magazine.

Polish Institute New Delhi team hosted painting workshop for children at the Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute of Fine Arts & Crafts which was held on 19th March 2024 to highlight and promote Chopin’s music in India. During the workshop, a group of 40 students participated in the creative session, where they listened to the compositions of the great Polish pianist and composer Frederic Chopin and then paint their ideas on the canvas using their imagination. Children listened to the music from the Polish Institute project titled “Desi” which is an interpretation of Chopin’s masterpieces by leading Indian musicians. Chopin compositions inspired musicians to perform music on traditional Indian musical instruments. At the end we screened an animated film “Impro Frederic. Chopin in a whole new light” which is based on the life of Frederic Chopin to allow the students learn more about the great artist followed by a quick discussion, some gifts and refreshments. Thank you PMW Edition for letting us use your film.

On 1st of March 2023 the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of India in collaboration with Polish Institute New Delhi, Goethe Institute- Max Mueller Bhavan and India Habitat Centre presented concert entitled Trishula Fusion.

Ms. Mariana Sadovska, Ukrainian actress, singer, musician, and composer, played Indian Harmonium and sang traditional Ukrainian songs; in duet with Mr. Jarry Singla, the Indo-German pianist and composer.
The concert revealed Ukrainian folk music and traditions in a modern interpretation as well as presented an example of multicultural fusion.

The audience’s response, which included twice giving the performers standing ovations after they completed their set, served as evidence that the concert was a huge success.
