United Nations in India, Alliance Fran\u00e7aise de Delhi, Israel in India, German Embassy New Delhi and UNESCO New Delhi Office organised the Holocaust Remembrance ceremony on 31 January 2023.
The commemoration was organised in the association with diplomatic community and included remarks from Ambassadors and representatives of Israel, Germany, Euopean Union, Netherlands, United Nations Resident Coordinator in India, Shombi Sharp, UNICEF India Representative Cynthia McCaffrey and UNESCO New Delhi Office officer-in-charge Hezekiel Dlamini.
On 30 and 31 January students from across schools in Delhi view exhibitions and participated in film screenings on Holocaust. The Embassy of Israel presented exhibition Stars Without a Heaven<\/em>. The Embassy of Austria displayed panels on the women achievers during the Holocaust. There were also a digital exhibition provided by Embassy or Romania.
Students watched What is the Holocaust <\/em>series of 7 short explanatory videos and The testimony of Bela Eizenman<\/em> by Yad Vashem.
Polish Institute New Delhi presented film The Radegast Train Station<\/em> directed by Miko\u0142aj Szcz\u0119sny and prepared by Museum of Independence Traditions (\u0141\u00f3d\u017a).
Film screenings were followed by discussion on why the Holocaust happened and what are the steps being taken to prevent future genocides. In the discussion took part Director of The Polish Institute, Mr. Kajus Augustyniak and Public and Cultural Diplomacy Expert Aneta \u015awi\u0119cicka from the Polish Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
