European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in Delhi, with the support of Delegation of European Union to India, presented FUTURE PERFECT festival. The festival took place from 5th to 8th of May 2023. It was an opportunity to showcase current creative voices from Ukraine and to appreciate their contributions in shaping the cultural landscape of Europe and the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FUTURE PERFECT festival honoured Ukrainian and European works of art, music, literature, and culture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival launch was hosted by the Czech Embassy in New Delhi and included a discussion with Ukrainian creative voices Haska Shyyan (writer), Maria Kulikovska (artist), and Masha Kondakova (film director) in conversation with Rudroneel Ghosh. The event also featured an exhibition Fear And Hope, Ukrainian Artists facing the war<\/em> by Maria G\u0105secka, organized by The Polish Institute New Delhi. The exhibition presented stories of Ukrainian artists \u2013 refugees and the Russian-Ukrainian war seen through their eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 18th the Polish Institute New Delhi hosted a special screening of the documentary film titled Erase the Nation<\/em> directed by Tomasz Grzywaczewski. The film shows Russia\u2019s crimes against the cultural heritage of Ukraine and the deliberate destruction of Ukrainian monuments throughout the country, from archaeological monuments to modern libraries and schools. The film is a message to international organizations and the world community, its purpose is to show the brutality of the destruction and the scale of assistance that is and will be necessary for the protection and restoration of cultural heritage in Ukraine. The film is commissioned by The National Institute of Cultural Heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Screening of the film was organised as a part of the FUTURE PERFECT festival and was held at the Cinema Room of The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi.
