\u201cCOLORS OF THE SOURCES\u201d exhibition organized at Abhimanch Auditorium foyer of the National School of Drama in New Delhi on November 21st, highlighted the concept of „source” as a metaphor for life, memory, emotion, and transformation. The works, created by artists and teachers – members of Faculty of Stage Design of the Abakonowicz University of the Arts in Pozna\u0144 , investigate the foundations of human existence. Inspired by Jerzy Grotowski\u2019s Theatre of Sources, these pieces delve into the primal layers of human experience – spiritual, material, and sensory. The artworks presented in the exhibition address diverse themes, ranging from personal memory to ecological reflection and interpersonal relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water, a central motif, symbolizes beginnings, transformation, and memory, opening a space for reflection on the future. Building on this foundation, the exhibition delves into the primal impulses of life and creativity. Grotowski explored archetypal human experiences rooted in universal rituals, gestures, and symbols transcending cultures. At the core of this philosophy lies nature – water, fire, and earth – elements that act as the origins of life and carriers of deeper meanings, shaping our identity and connection to the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition also contemplates the essence of encounters – with others, with oneself, and with the spaces around us. It extends beyond an exploration of elemental forces, serving as an invitation to reflect on their echoes within human existence, our emotions, memories, and everyday experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition remains open until 7th December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
