The Lodhi Art Festival 2026, organised by the St+art India Foundation, returns to New Delhi from 1 to 28 February 2026, marking 10 years of the Lodhi Art District- India\u2019s first public art district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of this landmark edition, we\u2019re excited to welcome Polish street artist Bartek \u015awi\u0105tecki (Pener) to New Delhi. Known for his powerful visual language and global practice, Pener created a new mural at the Lodhi Art District during the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Lodhi Art Festival 2026, on 8th February we spent an inspiring day with Bartek \u015awi\u0105tecki (Pener) at the Lodhi Art District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day began with a hands-on street painting and abstraction workshop, where participants were invited to draw and cut out abstract patterns, exploring form, movement, and intuition. These individual elements were then brought together and joined into a single shared composition, reflecting collaboration, spontaneity, and collective expression in public space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morning workshop was followed at 4 pm by the panel discussion \u201cWhat Moved You Today?\u201d with the participation of Traini Sethi and Ishaan Bharat, which reflected on Pener\u2019s journey across cities and cultures, the significance of public space, and the evolving role of street art in today\u2019s urban world \u2014 all rooted in the Lodhi Art District as a global public art hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Artist<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in 1981 and based in Olsztyn, Poland, Pener has been active in the graffiti and street art scene since 1996. He holds an MFA (with honours) from Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toru\u0144, and is a certified art educator. His visual language is defined by expressive brushstrokes layered with precise detail, creating dynamic compositions that respond closely to their surrounding environments<\/p>\n\n\n\n
