The concept of space is an open-ended one. From the tangible and measurable to the intangible and abstract, space is something that can be experienced at multiple levels viz. physical, intellectual, and spiritual. Exploring the concept of space, on 28th December 2018<\/strong>, a vernissage of the exhibition \u201cTypes of spaces\u201d<\/strong> was organised at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath Museum<\/strong>, the College of Fine Arts<\/strong> in Bangalore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Welcome to \u201cTypes of Spaces\u201d Exhibition<\/p><\/div>\n

The exhibition presented the artworks of didacticians of the Faculty of Interior Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw<\/strong>, Poland. The exhibition was honored with the patronage of the Polish Institute in New Delhi<\/strong>. It was attended by Dr. B.L. Shankar<\/strong> (President of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath), Prof. M.J. Kamalakshi<\/strong> (General Secretary), Prof. K. S. Appajaiah<\/strong> (Assistant Secretary), Prof. Tejendra Baoni Singh<\/strong> (Principal of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath College), Anna Krzemi\u0144ska<\/strong> (Curator of the exhibition), who is also the coordinator of external cooperation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and faculty members, staff and students of the College of Fine Arts in Bangalore.<\/p>\n

The guest of honor was Marta Jakimowicz<\/strong>, art critic and curator of many exhibitions in Bangalore, Delhi and Bombay, author of books and articles on Indian art. The exhibition was a collection of the diversity of visions concerning \u2018space\u2019 \u2013 one of the most important aspects of didactics. The interdisciplinary presentation showcased a diverse spectrum of statements and perspectives from different fields of art like painting, drawing, sculpture, digital graphics, photography, and documentation of performative activities.<\/p>\n
