1. COMMEMORATION OF THE 81ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE WARSAW GHETTO UPRISING AT DER SHTEYN<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday Apr 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program will take place at der shteyn<\/em>, the memorial stone in Riverside Park between 83rd and 84th Street<\/a>. The event takes place under the open skies and is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join Congress for Jewish Culture, Friends of the Bund, the Jewish Labor Committee, Workers Circle, and YIVO on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 2 PM to commemorate and remember the bravery of the partisans of the Warsaw Ghetto. This annual gathering follows a tradition established in 1947 by Jewish partisans, ghetto fighters and Holocaust survivors at the site designated by the City of New York for a memorial to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. It has become an annual gathering of Bundists and members of the secular, progressive Yiddish cultural community, as well as children and grandchildren of the original attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please join us to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Speaking in the program are Julia Mintz<\/strong> and Lily Kshensky Baxter<\/strong>. Marcel Kshensky<\/strong> will chair. In the artistic program will be Sarah Gordon<\/strong>, Feygele Jacobs<\/strong>, Shifee Losacco<\/strong>, Zalmen Mlotek<\/strong>, Daniella Rabbani<\/strong>, and Esti Zanoni<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. POLIN Museum’s Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Campaign<\/strong><\/a>. POLIN Museum encourages communities around the world to learn about the events that took place on April 19th, 1943, and to share online what the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising means to you. You will find various materials and resources to help spread the campaign, as well as educational items that can be used for schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
