He is the First Prize winner at the 2022 Paderewski International Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz, Poland. At the same competition, Mateusz Krzy\u017cowski was also recognized with several special prizes, including the Best Performance of a Piano Concerto Prize, as well as invitations to appear in solo recitals and as soloist with orchestras in the most prestigious concert halls in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-5b4687ba-12f1-4b9d-abfa-d615ac4276b0\">Mateusz Krzy\u017cowski is also the First Prize winner at the 2021 Artur Rubinstein in Memoriam Young Pianists\u2019 Competition, the Second Prize winner at the Karol Szymanowski Competition in Katowice, and the winner of the 2022 Talent Week scholarship award at the Paderewski Center in K\u0105\u015bna Dolna, Poland. In addition to these honors, Mateusz Krzy\u017cowski also represented Poland at the semi-final round of the 2021 International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. He is also a scholarship recipient of Ministry of Culture and National Heritage program \u201cYoung Poland,\u201d and grant recipient from the Jerzy Semkow Foundation, the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodship, the National Children Fund, and the \u201cTychy-Dobre Miejsce\u201d Foundation. He was also the recipient of the Magna cum Laude Medal for the best graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-0fe3fb99-2cc6-4fb7-9c0d-025656d524b0\">Mateusz Krzy\u017cowski\u2019s musical education began in his hometown of Tychy at the Felix Rybicki Music School in the class of Bo\u017cena Furma\u0144ska. He continued his education at the Karol Szymanowski State General Music School in Katowice under the tutelage of Lubow Nawrocka and Sebastian Nawrocki. In 2023 he graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the class of Joanna Lawrynowicz-Just.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-c7e28f60-de48-45c1-855d-20c8535684c7\">Mateusz Krzy\u017cowski\u2019s interpretations endeavor to convey the composers\u2019 intentions as accurately as possible. Filtering them through his own sensibilities leads to truly unique artistic experiences for the performer\u2019s audiences. Krzy\u017cowski\u2019s probing musical readings can be heard on three CD recordings,&nbsp;<em>Peine et Plaisir&nbsp;<\/em>(published by the Opus Label), as well as&nbsp;<em>Interwar Retrospections&nbsp;<\/em>and&nbsp;<em>The Most Beautiful Songs&nbsp;<\/em>issued by Sarton Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-0528188a-5d8d-4e49-b329-22e803edba23\">Besides making recordings, Krzy\u017cowski appeared as soloist with orchestras in Poland and toured France, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Japan, Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Hungary, partnering with such noted conductors as Miros\u0142aw Jacek B\u0142aszczyk, Kai Bumann, Jakub Chrenowicz, Jurek Dyba\u0142, Alexander Humala, Micha\u0142 Klauza, Marek Mo\u015b, Wojciech Rodek, Marek Wroniszewski, and Jan Mi\u0142osz Zarzycki, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Mateusz Krzy\u017cowski\u2019s US concerts are presented by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington D.C., The Kennedy Center, Chopin Foundation of the United States, and the Polish Home Association in Seattle.
