This year, The New York Polish Film Festival<\/strong><\/a> will celebrate its 19th Anniversary. It is the only annual film festival presenting and promoting Polish cinema on the East Coast. The New York Polish Film Festival brings a variety of films to hundreds of viewers in the New York City Metropolitan area, at theaters and online for almost two decades. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year is coming back at Scandinavia House with seven features and shorts that reflect the best of Polish filmmaking today. Among these is „As It Was” is a short film directed by Damian Kocur and Anastasia Solonevych, focusing on the poignant experiences of a young woman who has been living in Berlin since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. and Maciej Hamela’s „In the Rearview,” which was shortlisted for the „Best Documentary” Academy Award.
