The International Chopin & Friends Festival <\/a><\/strong>is an annual festival organized by the New York Dance & Arts Innovations, Inc. showcasing artists of various disciplines inspired by Chopin\u2019s legacy and working across a variety of media uniting traditional and contemporary art forms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fall of 2024 marks the 26th International Chopin & Friends Festival in New York. This convergent arts festival celebrates the artistic, global legacy of Chopin by showcasing innovative artists who, like Chopin, unite the traditional and the modern, the national and the universal. New York Dance & Arts Innovations, Inc. (NYDAI)<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 a New York based, cultural not-for-profit organization – has assumed responsibility for the production of this popular celebration of the arts, which lasts throughout the month of November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024 marks Chopin’s 175th death anniversary and there are three special events to pay honor to the most emblematic and prolific Polish composer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening concert will take place at The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland <\/strong>on November 8th, 2024. It will showcase part of Chopin\u2019s piano solo music as well as chamber works, Polish songs and jazz arrangements of Chopin’s most famous masterpieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second concert will take the audience on a journey to modern times. It will be a true celebration of the instrument known as the king of all: the piano. The unique repertoire selected for the event will bring not just one but two pianists on stage at the Klavierhaus Concert Hall<\/strong> on November 20th!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The closing event will take place at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland <\/strong>on November 26th and will feature music from all over the world presented by Polish and Italian artists as a gesture of gratitude towards Polish and Italian Consulates for their honorary patronages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This edition of the festival will feature internationally acclaimed artists such as Alberto Nos\u00e8<\/a><\/strong> (Italian pianist, laureate at the F. Chopin International Piano Competition<\/em> in 2000, one of the most awarded piano artists of his generation, \u201can artist with supreme technical mastery, dazzling and charming with his highly cultivated sound\u201d – The New York Times<\/em>), <\/em>Miko\u0142aj G\u00f3recki<\/a><\/strong> (living composer, son of Henryk G\u00f3recki), Ma\u0142gorzata Kellis<\/a><\/strong> (Polish American soprano, 2024 recipient of the award \u201cOutstanding Pole in the US\u201d), Nicholas Alexander Kaponyas<\/strong> (Polish-American pianist, 2024 recipient of the award \u201cOutstanding Pole in the US\u201d), Baron Fenwick<\/strong> (American pianist, winner of numerous awards including the Silver Medal in the 2019 Sendai International Music Competition in Japan), Denis Savelyev<\/strong> <\/a>(Ukrainian flutist, born in Lviv, the 1″ prize winner of the New York Flute Club Competition and a recipient of the \u201cRising Star” award at the Galway Flute Academy), membersof the Italian Jazz Quartet<\/strong> (Giuseppe Cucchiara, Andrea Niccolai, Andrea Domenici, Francesco Patti), who recently released their album \u201cA Sound In Common,\u201d as well as the Polish-American Soprano Magdalena Kuzma<\/strong> (a recent alumna of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program).
