On January 24, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with the Polish Cultural Institute New York, hosted a remarkable concert to mark the beginning of Poland\u2019s Presidency in the Council of the European Union<\/a><\/strong>. The event featured Paulo Szot<\/a><\/strong>, the acclaimed Polish-Brazilian baritone and Tony Award winner<\/strong>, accompanied by the renowned American Pops Orchestra<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Szot captivated the audience with performances of Broadway\u2019s most beloved songs, including selections from the iconic musical South Pacific<\/em>. Adding a special touch to the evening, he also performed a Polish song by Grzegorz Turnau, showcasing his diverse musical artistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening commenced with welcoming remarks by distinguished guests, including Mr. Bogdan Klich<\/strong>, Head of Mission in the Embassy of the Republic of Poland<\/strong>; Ambassador of the European Union to the U.S. Jovita Neliup\u0161ien\u0117<\/strong>; Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Sonata Coulter<\/strong>; and Chairman of the Board of the American Pops Orchestra, Robert Pullen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held under the honorary patronage of Poland\u2019s Minister of Culture and National Heritage<\/a><\/strong> the concert was a spectacular celebration of culture and diplomacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
