Polish dancers Agnieszka Kryst<\/strong>, Jan Lorys<\/strong>, Ramona Nagabczynska<\/strong>, and Pawel Sakowicz<\/strong> will be joining the cast of There Might Be Others<\/em>, a collaborative dance and music performance inspired by composer Terry Riley’s seminal work In C<\/em>. Directed and choreographed by Rebecca Lazier<\/strong>, it features an international cast of 15 dancers and is performed with a live score by Dan Trueman<\/strong> in collaboration with acclaimed ensembles Mobius Percussion <\/strong>and So Percussion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It examines the role of presence, performer agency, and collective decision-making to create emergent composition. It builds on traditions of open work in dance and music, in which performers compose in real time with predetermined content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project was developed over a two-year period during residencies in Turkey, Canada, and Poland. Along the Polish team, performing New York dancers Asli Bulbul, Simon Courchel, Natalie Green, raja feather kelly, Cori Kresge, Christopher Ralph, Anna Sch\u00f6n, and Sa\u00fal Ulerio. Rhonda Baker and Sara Coffin from Canadian partner Mocean Dance join the cast; and from Turkey Tan Temel, artistic director of TORK Dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musicians include Mobius Percussion, So Percussion (March 16, 17, 18) and members of Mantra Percussion (March 19).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
