The third edition of the event will be held on July 2\u20139, 2023 at the Artur Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic in Rzesz\u00f3w in two categories, pianists and chamber ensembles (up to 6 cast members). The Competition is implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance in cooperation with the Artur Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic in Rzesz\u00f3w, financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. The Competition is held every two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Competition Repertoire<\/strong><br>The Competition will offer participants the opportunity to showcase works by 60 Polish composers. The full list of names can be found at www.polishmusiccompetition.pl. In addition, each participant may perform a work by a Polish composer from outside of the competition list. In the final stage, pianists will perform accompanied by a symphony orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applications<\/strong><br><strong>Applications for the Competition can be submitted until February 15, 2023.<\/strong> Pre-selection will be based on the quality of the performance in video recordings. Applicants can submit their bids via the international platform muvac.com. Detailed information on applications to the Competition can be found at www.polishmusiccompetition.pl in the \u201cAbout competition\u201d tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prizes<\/strong><br>Six grand prizes will be awarded in each category: 1st prize \u2013 EUR 20,000, 2nd prize \u2013 EUR 10,000, 3rd prize \u2013 EUR 8,000, 4th prize \u2013 EUR 6,000, 5th prize \u2013 EUR 4,000, 6th prize \u2013 EUR 2,000, as well as two honorable mentions of EUR 500 each. The total pool of regulatory financial prizes is in excess of EUR 100,000. The Competition will also award special non-statutory prizes, including concerts in Poland and abroad, as well as media, financial and material prizes. Performances of a work by one of the following composers will also be recognized with prizes of EUR 1,000: in the Pianists category, Antoni Stolpe, Eugeniusz Pankiewicz, Raul Koczalski; in the Chamber Ensembles category, Antoni Stolpe, Witold Maliszewski, and Antoni Szalowski. Moreover, there will be special prizes for best performances of works by Mi\u0142osz Magin, founded by composer\u2019s daughter, Margot Magin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Live Streaming and Recordings<\/strong><br>Live streaming of the 3rd International Competition of Polish Music will be available on the National Institute of Music and Dance YouTube channel and on the polishmusiccompetition.pl website. Recordings of the winners will be published on the CD album and on the most popular streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, Amazon Music. The winner in the piano category was Pavel Dombrovsky, a representative of Russia, while the winner in the chamber ensemble category was a duo of violinists from Poland: Marta Gidaszewska and Robert Laguniak currently performing under the name Polish Violin Duo. In 2021, 86 artists from three continents entered in the contest. The winning pianist was the US-resident Canadian Carter Johnson, and in the chamber ensemble category the Polish piano duo Ksi\u0105\u017cek Piano Duo, composed of: Agnieszka Zahaczewska-Ksi\u0105\u017cek and Krzysztof Ksi\u0105\u017cek. Also awarded were a total of 38 special prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Practical Information<\/strong><br>Qualified participants will be reimbursed for travel expenses. Detailed information on applications to the Competition can be found at www.polishmusiccompetition.pl in the \u201cAbout competition\u201d tab.\nPrizesSix grand prizes will be awarded in each category: 1st prize \u2013 EUR 20,000, 2nd prize \u2013 EUR 10,000, 3rd prize \u2013 EUR 8,000, 4th prize \u2013 EUR 6,000, 5th prize \u2013 EUR 4,000, 6th prize \u2013 EUR 2,000, as well as two honorable mentions of EUR 500 each. The total pool of regulatory financial prizes is in excess of EUR 100,000. The Competition will also award special non-statutory prizes, including concerts in Poland and abroad, as well as media, financial and material prizes. Performances of a work by one of the following composers will also be recognized with prizes of EUR 1,000: in the Pianists category, Antoni Stolpe, Eugeniusz Pankiewicz, Raul Koczalski; in the Chamber Ensembles category, Antoni Stolpe, Witold Maliszewski, and Antoni Szalowski. The winner in the piano category was Pavel Dombrovsky, a representative of Russia, while the winner in the chamber ensemble category was a duo of violinists from Poland: Marta Gidaszewska and Robert Laguniak currently performing under the name Polish Violin Duo. In 2021, 86 artists from three continents entered in the contest. The winning pianist was the US-resident Canadian Carter Johnson, and in the chamber ensemble category the Polish piano duo Ksi\u0105\u017cek Piano Duo, composed of: Agnieszka Zahaczewska-Ksi\u0105\u017cek and Krzysztof Ksi\u0105\u017cek.
