The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York invites to an opening of the exhibition presenting the works of the extraordinary sculptor Ludwika Ogorzelec. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ludwika Ogorzelec<\/strong>, born in 1953 in Chobie\u0144, is a Polish sculptor, living in Paris since 1985. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroc\u0142aw (1978\u20131983) and L’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (1985\u20131987). Her works were presented in many individual and collective exhibitions in galleries and museums, initially in France, and then in many other countries: Sweden, United States, Greece, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Japan, Germany, Italy, Lebanon, Great Britain, Costa Rica, Bulgaria, Australia, Latvia, China, Korea, Vietnam, Czech Republic and Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ludwika Ogorzelec’s art is a fascinating fusion of form and space, constantly pushing the boundaries of artistic expression, in which each exhibition is a step towards unexplored artistic boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ludwika Ogorzelec received many prestigious awards, including the Pollock Krasner Grant, Conceil Nationale de Monte Carlo and the Gloria Artis Gold Medal from the Minister of Culture. She was also awarded the Polonia Restituta Officer’s Cross by the President of the Republic of Poland for her courageous attitude towards the communist regime in Poland.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Photos from the exhibition will present Ogorzelec’s most important sculptures and show the artist’s extraordinary journey, which has attracted the attention of critics and art researchers from the New York Times, New Yorker, Art in America, Art Magazine, Art Forum, New York Arts, Sculpture Magazine, Europe Beaux Arts Magazine, Musee Art, L’Opservateur, Artension, Nikkei Arts Magazine in Japan, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
