DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Sir Patrick Geddes’ plan —
the legendary urban planner of Tel Aviv — the exhibition “The Appendix:
Geddes’ Vertical Plan” is currently on view at Liebling Haus in Tel
Aviv. The installation, created by Polish architect Agata Woźniczka and
curated by Sabrina Cegla, presents a speculative vision for preserving the
White City.
The project by Woźniczka proposes concentrating the building rights of
thousands of structures into a 12,000-story megastructure, imagining a
communal, public, and green space, while raising questions about
preservation, density, and the urban future of Tel Aviv.
Join us for a special Zoom session of Salon Polin with architect Agata
Woźniczka and curator Sabrina Cegla. Together we will discuss the
exhibition, the ideas behind it, and the possibility of rethinking the
White City through a contemporary architectural lens.
