{"id":2073,"date":"2020-12-03T10:41:49","date_gmt":"2020-12-03T09:41:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/telaviv\/?p=2073"},"modified":"2020-12-31T09:19:29","modified_gmt":"2020-12-31T08:19:29","slug":"the-courage-beating-hearts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/telaviv\/en\/2020\/12\/03\/the-courage-beating-hearts\/","title":{"rendered":"Bravely Beating Hearts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>&#8220;Bravely Beating Hearts&#8221; &#8211; Israeli and Polish artists in a tribute concert to the Jewish soldiers in the Anders\u2019 Army.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The concert is a part of a project dedicated to that topic, that includes a conference and an exhibition &#8211; see details below.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>On 8th December, during the online premiere of the &#8220;Bravely Beating Hearts&#8221; concert, will take part among others: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Omer Netzer, Roi Levi, Gilad Vital, Liron Amram and Darek Malejonek, Renata Przemyk, Micha\u0142 Lorenc and Aleksandra Itkowska.<\/p>\n<p>Together, they will perform songs created nearly 80 years ago &#8211; such as the famous &#8220;Red Poppies on Monte Cassino&#8221; with lyrics by Feliks Konarski,<\/p>\n<p>set to music by Alfred Sch\u00fctz, and pieces created by contemporary Polish and Israeli artists especially for this concert in Hebrew, English and Polish.<\/p>\n<p>They will be joined by a song-symbol &#8211; &#8220;Warsze Majn\u201d, in Yiddish will sound exceptionally poignant.<\/p>\n<p>This Polish-Israeli project combines a common, sometimes difficult history with the memory of people without whom Poland and Israel would be completely different today.<\/p>\n<p>The project focuses not only on great historical figures &#8211; such as General W\u0142adys\u0142aw Anders or Menachem Begin &#8211; but most of all on the army of extraordinary, brave people<\/p>\n<p>torn from the &#8220;inhuman land&#8221;. It also tells about making dramatic decisions and difficult choices between staying in Eretz Israel, Palestine, and fighting for an independent State of Israel<\/p>\n<p>or remaining faithful to the Polish state and continuing to fight Germany in the ranks of the Polish Army.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nNever before this story has been told in a language understandable to all &#8211; despite differences in worldview, religion and politics &#8211; in the Language of Art.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the 80-year-old lyrics by Feliks Konarski and Ludwik Starski, music by Alfred Sch\u00fctz and Andrzej W\u0142ast, performed by Aleksandra Itkowska, we will also hear new songs<\/p>\n<p>by Renata Przemyk and Darek &#8220;Maleo&#8221; Malejonek (music) &#8211; \u00a0\u201cWandering Children\u201d (\u201cDzieci tu\u0142acze\u201d) and \u201cInhuman Land\u201d (\u201cZiemia nieludzka\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>Israeli artists will perform:<br \/>\n&#8211; Roi Levi &#8211; &#8220;Children from Tehran&#8221; and &#8220;Unknown Soldiers&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8211; Omer Netzer &#8211; &#8220;Country&#8221; and &#8220;I will never give Up&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8211; Gilad Vital &#8211; &#8220;Ben Gall&#8221; and &#8220;Bab al Ouad&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/%D7%9E%D7%A6%D7%91%D7%90-%D7%90%D7%A0%D7%93%D7%A8%D7%A1-%D7%9C%D7%A6%D7%91%D7%90-%D7%99%D7%A9%D7%A8%D7%90%D7%9C-From-Anders-Army-to-the-Israeli-Army-100479871914183?fbclid=IwAR2p-aXoLgIEnkUhlhRPHCOkO7BzY8H21JQtemLJVZkGCm9XyeknhGIls1g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>The concert will be broadcast on line on December 8th at 20:00 on the Facebook page of the project\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>On the day of the concert a virtual conference about Jewish soldiers in the Anders\u2019 Army will be held &#8211; December 8th 10:00<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000\" href=\"https:\/\/lp.vp4.me\/cpyi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>For registration to the conference\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Especially for this occasion, the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem will host an exhibition &#8220;From the Anders Army to the Israeli Army &#8211; the road of Jewish soldiers to Israel&#8217;s independence&#8221;. The exhibition will be open until February 28, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The concert the conference and the exhibition are organized by the Education Projects Association, which cooperates with Partners: The Adam Mickiewicz Institute, The Polish Institute in Tel Aviv, Yad La-Shiryon &#8211;
