{"id":2655,"date":"2021-05-31T11:25:43","date_gmt":"2021-05-31T09:25:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/telaviv\/?p=2655"},"modified":"2021-05-31T12:16:20","modified_gmt":"2021-05-31T10:16:20","slug":"krakow-film-festival-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/telaviv\/en\/2021\/05\/31\/krakow-film-festival-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Krakow Film Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On the 30<sup>th<\/sup> of May 2021 starts 61<sup>st<\/sup> Krakow Film Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is one of the oldest events in the world dedicated to documentary, animated and short feature films.<\/p>\n<p>During the eight festival days, the viewers have a chance to watch about 250 films from Poland and from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The festival is accompanied by exhibitions, concerts, open-air shows and meetings with artists.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This year the film about <em>Roman Polanski<\/em> and <em>Ryszard Horowitz<\/em> \u201cPola\u0144ski, Horowitz. Hometown\u201d (by <em>Mateusz Kud\u0142a<\/em> and <em>Anna Kokoszka-Romer)<\/em> will open the festival.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The film is a colorful story about childhoods, friendship, the common Jewish fate of the protagonists and, most of all, about Krakow \u2013 a place that, despite the passage of time and many changes, remains their home.<\/p>\n<p>The documentary film became famous last year when the Yad Vashem Institute awarded the title of \u201cRighteous Among the Nations\u201d to <em>Stefania and Jan Bucha\u0142a<\/em> who hid <em>Pola\u0144ski<\/em> during the war.
