The encounter will deal with the Jewish legacy of Poland and will be led by Dr. Katarzyna Person<\/em> and will focus on the women behind the Ringelblum archieve <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

and their efforts during the Holocaust to preserve these important materials. \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The encounter will take place on Monday March 7 at 19:00 and is part of the series Mondays with JHI-Polish Talks which allows the public to encounter meaningful issues from <\/span><\/p>\n

Poland\u2019s Jewish past. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This meeting is part of our ongoing cooperation with the Morshet Center, the JHI, and the union of Israeli guides in Poland. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Admission is free but please register online<\/a> to participate. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting will discuss the roles women took upon themselves to rescue the materials collected by Emanuel Ringelblum during the German occupation of Poland and hidden underground. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
