Her books have been translated into many languages, including French, English, Italian, Chinese, Czech, and German. Notable works include <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carmelph.co.il\/product\/anahnu_miyedvavne\/\">The Crime and the Silence: Confronting the Massacre of the Jews in Wartime Jedwabne<\/a>,<\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carmelph.co.il\/product\/sendlerowa-w-ukryciu\/\"><em data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1149\">Sendler: In hiding<\/em><\/a>, both published in Hebrew by Carmel Publishing, translated by Miriam Bornstein.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1222\" data-end=\"1656\">Bikont received the <strong data-start=\"1242\" data-end=\"1265\">European Book Prize<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"1274\" data-end=\"1304\">National Jewish Book Award<\/strong> for <em>The Crime and the Silence: Confronting the Massacre of the Jews in Wartime Jedwabne.<\/em>. In 2017, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from Gothenburg University. Her latest book, <em>Not the End, Not the Beginning. The Postwar Choices of Polish Jews<\/em>, was published in Poland in 2025. She is known for her in-depth research on Holocaust memory, Jewish-Polish identity, and the postwar experience of Polish society.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1658\" data-end=\"1932\">Her work focuses on the fate of Holocaust survivors in Poland in the years following World War II \u2013 a history that was long silenced and demanded to be told. Her writing combines human empathy, journalistic precision, and the courage to uncover hidden chapters of history.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1934\" data-end=\"2280\">During the meeting, Bikont will discuss her work, research and writing processes, and the challenges of uncovering forgotten stories from Polish Jewish history.
