Jahrhunderts. Er war Maler, Fotograf, Schriftsteller, Kunst- und Kulturkritiker, Philosoph und Performer.<\/p>\n<p>Das Leben war f\u00fcr ihn k\u00fcnstlerisches Material. Er qu\u00e4lte sich und andere \u2013 vor allem die Frauen, von denen er zeit seines Lebens abh\u00e4ngig war. Die k\u00fcnstlerische Vielfalt in Witkacys Schaffen resultierte aus der Unm\u00f6glichkeit, zur Ruhe zu kommen und in einer einzigen Form alle Aspekte seiner Pers\u00f6nlichkeit artikulieren zu k\u00f6nnen. Er war ein kompromissloser Provokateur und ein ostentativer Egoist. Er hasste besch\u00f6nigende Masken und riss sich die eigene vom Gesicht, die jedoch niemand je zu sehen bekam. 1939 wurde Witkacy ein Opfer der Geschichte: Als nach der Wehrmacht die Rote Armee in Polen einmarschierte, nahm er sich am 18. Er qu\u00e4lte sich und andere \u2013 vor allem die Frauen, von denen er zeit seines Lebens abh\u00e4ngig war. Die k\u00fcnstlerische Vielfalt in Witkacys Schaffen resultierte aus der Unm\u00f6glichkeit, zur Ruhe zu kommen und in einer einzigen Form alle Aspekte seiner Pers\u00f6nlichkeit artikulieren zu k\u00f6nnen. Er war ein kompromissloser Provokateur und ein ostentativer Egoist. Er hasste besch\u00f6nigende Masken und riss sich die eigene vom Gesicht, die jedoch niemand je zu sehen bekam. 1939 wurde Witkacy ein Opfer der Geschichte: Als nach der Wehrmacht die Rote Armee in Polen einmarschierte, nahm er sich am 18.
