Today marks the 100th birth anniversary of Karol Wojtyła, later Pope John Paul II, saint of the Catholic Church.

For the Poles Karol Wojtyła was “our” Pope, for the world He was a pilgrim of peace and freedom, an advocate of dialogue, the pope of the youth, a great admirer of culture.
