Mulaqaat – concert by Polish-Ukrainian music group Babooshki with Indian instrumentalists
On Tuesday, October 18th 2022, the Polish Institute New Delhi and India International Centre were hosting a concert Mulaqaat at the fountain lawns in India International Centre from 6.30 p.m. The concert was part of the Festival of the Arts (14-20, October 2022) organised by IIC.
Mulaqaat was a Polish-Ukrainian project with the music group Babooshki and Indian instrumentalists: Karolina Beimcik from Poland (voice, violin); Dana Vynnytska from Ukraine (voice) and from India – Shariq Mustafa (tabla); Ejaz Hussain (sarangi); Aditya Balani (guitar); Divij Kapoor (guitar, keyboards).
The artists together present a blend of Polish, Ukrainian and Hindi as well as mingle individual styles of music to find a common ground in improvisation.
The concert was followed by the Polish dinner prepared by Chef Mukesh Sharma from Alma Café, Noida.
