Incredible story how Polish children found second homeland in India during WWII
Monika Szumowska- Kowaleczko, executive producer and co-autor of the script of an interactive documentary “Maharaja’s children. Brave Bunch in India” once again visited India. She shared the story of Wieslaw Stypula, protagonnist of the documentary with the students of Delhi and Gurugram schools.
Ms Szumowska- Kowaleczko captivated young audience with the incredible story how Polish children found second homeland in India during WWII. She presented the interactive webdoc directed by Tomasz Stankiewicz on 9.04 2024 in Shiv Nadar School Gurugram and the Shri Ram Senior School, DLF Mousar Gurugram; on 10.04 in Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute of Fine Arts & Crafts Delhi and Sunshine Society, Noida and on 12.04 in Prometheus School Noida as well as Ridge Valley School, Gurugram.
Students wrote personal messages to Mr. Wieslaw Stypula. All the messages were delivered to him by Ms. Kowaleczko- Szumowska on her return to Poland.
“Maharaja’s children. Brave Bunch in India” follows a story of Wieslaw Stypula’s childhood, one of a thousand Polish children who were saved from the hell of World War II by an Indian Maharaja, Jam Saheb Digvijaysinhji.
