The Kerala Arts & Crafts Village (KACV) in Vellar, Thiruvananthapuram is hosting Ragbag, a six-day event that brings together art, craft, food and showcases multimedia and interdisciplinary performances.
Polish theatre group Teatr Biuro Podróży will perform at the festival ‘Animal School’ on January 18th and 19th.
The play directed by Paweł Szkotak is a grotesque allegory that echoes Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’. Set on a pig farm, adult pigs raise and educate little pigs in a fabricated utopia, hiding a grim reality. A rebellion ensues, only to be brutally crushed, as towering pig guardians dominate the small, defenseless pupils. With its stilted figures and dark humor, this theatrical spectacle critiques manipulation, conformity, and the cost of rebellion.
