Screening of “Chitraanjali. Stefan Norblin in India” in Vadodara

The screening of ‘Chitraanjali. Stefan Norblin in India” took place at Sanskruti Hall in Alembic City, Vadodara, on June 29, 2025.

Hosted by Saloni Bhojani, the evening began with a visual presentation showcasing Norblin’s artistic journey—from his early works in Europe to his significant contribution to Indian art. This was followed by insightful messages from Ms. Małgorzata Wejsis-Gołębiak, Director of the Polish Institute, and the film’s director, Małgorzata Skiba, setting the tone for the screening.

The documentary offered a moving portrayal of Norblin’s artistic impact in India during the 1940s, highlighting his unique blend of European and Indian aesthetics in works created for Indian Maharajas in Jodhpur, Morvi, and Ramgarh.

After the screening, an engaging online discussion with director Skiba took place. The interactive session allowed the audience to share their reflections and pose questions, creating a rich dialogue around Norblin’s legacy and the making of the film.
