
On the evening of 8th of August 2025, the Polish Institute in New Delhi and the Austrian Cultural Forum, in collaboration with Alliance Française, presented “An Evening of Melodies”- a celebration of the timeless musical heritage of Austria and Poland. Held in a spirit of cultural exchange and artistic excellence, the concert offered a mesmerizing journey through the masterpieces of European classical music.
The program featured works by legendary composers including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Fryderyk Chopin, Johann Strauss, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Ludomir Różycki, Joseph Haydn, Kurt Schmidek, and Rudolf Sieczyński, paying tribute to the rich emotional and stylistic traditions of Austrian and Polish music.
Soprano Jowita Sip captivated the audience with her expressive voice bringing a unique depth and warmth to each performance. She was joined by Vladyslav Kaznodii, a pianist whose artistry and sensitivity at the piano elevated the evening. Together, the duo delivered program that was powerful and moving.
About the Artists:
Ms. Jowita Sip – a soprano and actress based in Vienna, born in Piła, Poland. She studied voice and performing arts at the State Academy in Poland and the National Opera in Warsaw, followed by advanced vocal studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Prof. Gerhard Kahry and Prof. Charles Spencer. Her performance career includes engagements at the Merano Stadttheater, Volkoper Vienna, Mozart Year 2006 (New Opera Vienna), recitals Mozarthaus, Burg- and Akademietheater, Vienna Operetta Festival, Tyrolean Festival with Paul Gulda, Bregenz Festival, Belgrade Festival, Vienna Musikverein, New Year’s Eve Galas Openair for City of Vienna 2006-2012, Chopin Year 2010 Poland, Mahler Year 2010, 2011 and 2012, St. Anton (Gala – St.Anton Ski Club 110 years Jubileum), F. Schubert Festival Steyr, numerous concerts in Japan, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Germany, Spain, Croatia, TV W24 production “24MOF”, Festival Volkstheater Vienna, Festival Carinthia, Parliament Vienna. In 2018, she was awarded a Diploma for the initiative ‘European Year of Cultural Heritage’.
Mr. Vladyslav Kaznodii – a professional pianist, accompanist, and educator. Kaznodii is a prizewinner of several international competitions, including First Prizes at the “Golden Keys” Competition in Frankfurt (2012) and the Chopin Competition in Dnipro (2020), and Third Prizes at the Glière International Competition and the Kyiv International Piano Competition. Kaznodii currently works as a répétiteur at the Bach Music School and, since November 2024, at the Beethoven Conservatory in Vienna, while also teaching privately and performing regularly.
