Premiere of Umadevi, a performance by The Malabar Hotel Theatre, held in collaboration with the Polish Institute New Delhi, will take place on 18 and 19 January, at 7:00 PM at the Pavilion, Bastion Bungalow.
Combining dramatic theatre and puppet theatre with visual arts, the performance brings to life the extraordinary journey of Wanda Dynowska, a Polish visionary who dedicated her life to cultural dialogue, women’s emancipation, support for Tibetan refugees, and fostering harmonious exchange between cultures and religions. An individualist who transcended worlds and identities, she collaborated with Gandhi, Ramana Maharishi, the Dalai Lama, and Krishnamurti, exemplifying the transformative power of cultural dialogue.
