Polish focus at the 10th edition of the Smile International Film Festival for Children & Youth (SIFFCY)
The 10th edition of the Smile International Film Festival for Children & Youth started on 9th April 2024 at the LPS auditorium, PHD House, New Delhi presenting a handpicked world cinema and masterclasses from around the world.
Dr. Sebastian Domżalski, Chargé d’affaires, Embassy of the Republic of Poland and Dr. Magdalena Filipczuk, Acting Director, Polish Institute New Delhi represented Poland at the opening of the festival. Dr. Domżalski addressed the audience about the cultural relations between India and Poland and also highlighted SIFFCY’s mission to entertain, engage, educate, and empower young minds.
As a part of the Polish Focus at the festival series of rare classic animations made in 90s from Poland were screened on 10th of April. The animations were curated by TV Studio Animated Films from Poland and presented by Jerzy Moszkowicz. Jerzy Moszkowicz, acclaimed Film consultant, Art and Stage director and adviser of International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino! was also present at the festival as Jury member and panellist.
The Smile International Film Festival for Children & Youth (SIFFCY) took place till 15th of April 2024.
