Workshops by Dorota Kuźniarska and Witold Modrzejewski in India

Polish costume designer Dorota Kuźniarska and visual artist Witold Modrzejewski participated in Arunachal Rang Mahotsav 2024. Arunachal Rang Mahotsav 2024, the first international theatre festival  in Arunachal Pradesh, took place from 22nd November to 5th December 2024.

Dorota Kuźniarska is a visual artist, fashion and costume designer, and lecturer at the University of the Arts in Poznań. Dr Witold Modrzejewski is awarded graphic designer, creator of spatial installations, and Dean in the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Magdalena Abkanowicz University of the Arts Poznań. 

On 24th November the artists presented an all-day exhibition entitled ‘(RE)LOCATIONS / Multivitamin’ and conducted workshop ‘Beyond Vision- Sensory Exploration in Costume & Art’. The workshop challenged traditional approaches to costume design and art by exploring the creative potential of touch, scent, and sound. Participants through hands-on activities learned how sensory elements can inspire design. 

A workshop with the same title was repeated on 29th November for the students of the National School of Drama in Delhi.

Programs were organised with the support of the Polish Institute and in collaboration with the National School of Drama in New Delhi.
