A memorable evening of poetry, dialogue, and cultural exchange took place on 11.01 at the New Delhi World Book Fair 2026.
Through the collaborative efforts of the Polish Institute New Delhi and the Vani Prakashan Group, an enriching discussion unfolded on the beauty of Polish poetry and the delicate art of translating it into Hindi. The session brought languages closer, opening new pathways for literary understanding and collaboration.
With insightful reflections by Maria Skakuj-Puri, Tatiana Szurlej, Arun Maheshwari, and Małgorzata Wejsis-Gołębiak, and thoughtfully moderated by Murtaza Ali Khan, the evening resonated with ideas, readings, and meaningful conversations.
By introducing Polish poetry to Hindi readers, this unique initiative set a powerful example of how translation can become a bridge between cultures—celebrating literature beyond borders.
