The Polish Institute in New Delhi, established in 2012, is a diplomatic mission, serving under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. PI is the cultural division of the Embassy of Poland to India. The Institute’s mission is to build and promote cultural exchange between Poland and India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal by presenting Polish culture, history and traditions to the audience of these countries.

Magdalena Filipczuk, PhD
(born 1984), graduate of the Inter-faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków (speciality: comparative studies) and graduate of the “Artes Liberales” Academy, PhD in Chinese Philosophy. She is the author of a monograph devoted to Chinese philosophy and 18 academic publications on culture studies, modern poetry and intercultural philosophy. Many years she translated from English into Polish and edited academic books. Before coming to New Delhi, she was a Head of The International Translation Projects Department in Institute of Literature and researcher and lecturer in The Jesuit University Ignatianum in Krakow.
