NAWA: A call for applications for the Poland My First-Choice program

The program offers an opportunity to undertake full-time second-cycle studies with a monthly NAWA scholarship. At public universities, scholarship holders will also be exempt from tuition fees.

New! In this intake, we also offer a one-off allowance for the cost of international travel in order to undertake studies in Poland!

The offer is addressed to candidates applying to academic universities supervised by the Minister of Science and Higher Education (check which universities you can choose). Under the Program scholarship awardees may choose any course taught in Polish or English.

 The Programme shall be open to participation by:

  • citizens of 44 countries and territories: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Chile, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Uruguay, United Kingdom, USA,
  • who are studying an undergraduate degree programme in one of the aforementioned countries and territories or have graduated no earlier than 2022 and
  • are planning to start second-cycle (master) studies in Poland in the academic year 2024/25.

Previous editions of Poland My First Choice in numbers:

In the three previous editions of the program, students from 39 countries received scholarships – the largest number of students came from France, Italy, the United States, Spain, South Korea and Lithuania.

The programme’s scholarship holders most often chose majors in

  • international relations and European studies,
  • management, economics and finance,
  • philology and cultural studies,
  • data science.

at the following universities:

  • Jagiellonian University in Cracow,
  • Łódź University of Technology,
  • University of Warsaw,
  • University of Wroclaw,
  • SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
