In recognition of the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of the Ukrainian People, the Ukrainian Institute of America will host the #UkraineStands Open House on February 24, 2024, marking ten years since the beginning of the war and two years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

You can join all or part of the afternoon at the Ukrainian Institute of America to pay tribute to those who have paid the ultimate price for defending Ukraine’s freedom, and to celebrate the creativity, courage, and dedication of Ukrainians in Ukraine and around the world, whose valiant fight to defend democracy, their homeland and their right to self-determination continues.

From 12-3 pm, guests may participate in an afternoon featuring a variety of exhibits, interactive and unique experiences, film screenings, lectures and more. From 3-5 pm, attendees will gather together for remarks, reflections and discussions with prominent guest speakers. Details will be posted on our UIA website as they become available.

In connection with the day of commemoration, a Tribute platform was established, where you may record a brief video message to be shared with the guests of the UIA.
