Cooperation between Polish Chamber of Tourism and China Post assumes publishing postcard sets for Chinese market, showing most known and unique Polish tourist attractions. Each postcard will include special coupons, entitling Chinese tourists to discounts while travelling through Poland. About 200-300 thousand of postcards will be distributed by post offices throughout China as well as by China Post website. The MoU was signed on April 17th 2019 at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beijing by the member of the board of Polish Chamber of Tourism, Mr. Marcin Wójcik, and Chief Executive Officer of China Post Advertising Media, Mr. Li Shanchuan. The ceremony was attended by H. E. Ambassador Wojciech Zajączkowski and Ms. Zuzanna Gutkowska, Acting Director of Foreign Office of Polish Tourism Organisation in Beijing.
The Chinese Post, which has been operating for over 120 years, currently has approximately 56 thousand branches. Previously, similar campaigns were conducted in cooperation with Malaysia and Hong Kong. Poland is the first country on the land route of the New Silk Road, to whom participation in this joint project was proposed. The signing of the agreement initiates first stage in promotion campaign, intended by Polish Chamber of Tourism and Polish Tourism Organisation to prepare appealing offer of Polish entrepreneurs, which would attract the largest number of Chinese tourists to visit Poland. A comprehensive offer of touristic attractions and related services will meet requirements and needs of Chinese market as well as interests of Chinese tourists.
