Everyone has the right to request that a digital website, mobile app or any part of it be made accessible. You can also request information to be shared by alternative means, for example by reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a movie without audio description, etc. The request should include personal details of the requester, an indication of which website or mobile application is involved and the preferred means of contact. If the requester requires information by alternative means, a preferred way should be specified. A public entity should execute the request without delay, no later than 7 days after the date of request. If this deadline cannot be met, the public entity shall immediately inform the requester about when the request shall be fulfilled, however the new deadline must be met no later than 2 months from the initial date of request. If providing digital accessibility is not possible, a public entity may propose an alternative way of accessing the information. In the event a public entity refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or an alternative way of accessing the information, the requester may file a complaint about the accessibility of a digital website, mobile app or website element, or mobile application. Once the above-mentioned procedure has been exhausted, an application may also be filed with the Ombudsman.
