The 8th edition of the EU-China Literary Festival organized by the Delegation of the European Union to China will be held in four cities in China from October 12 to November 30.
The festival aims to promote dialogue between contemporary literature authors from the European Union and China under the theme “Voices of the Present: Contemporary Literature”. In this context, seven dialogues between invited authors from the EU and China as well as four literary saloons will take place in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou. In close cooperation with bookstores in these cities, the festival creates six reading corners where you can read books by European authors translated into Chinese. The Polish Institute in Beijing provided books by the Polish winners of the Nobel Prize in Literature: Olga Tokarczuk, Wisława Szymborska, Czesław Miłosz, as well as several books for children.
