From November 17th to 26th the Polish Institute in Beijing jointly with the China Film Archive co-organized the “Jerzy Skolimowski Film Retrospective”.
During the event five Skolimowski’s films were presented, namely “The Shout”, “Moonlighting”, “Four Nights with Anna”, “Essential Killing” and “EO”.
Jerzy Skolimowski graduated from the famous Lodz Film School in Poland. This excellent film school celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.
Polish film scholar and film critic Professor Ewa Mazierska recorded commentary videos for each movie included in the retrospective to help the audience better understand the background of Skolimowski’s films.
