Comic Workshop for children inspired by the Nicolaus Copernicus theory

With an Idea to promote Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus in India, the Polish Institute New Delhi team hosted a comic workshop at Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute of Fine Arts & Crafts on March 21, 2024.

The students learned about Nicolaus Copernicus during a discussion that followed the screening of an educational movie about the life of Copernicus and his various theories during the workshop.

Later the students were taught about how to make comics and received “Tytus, Romek & A’Tomek” Book VIII comics by H.J. Chmielewski, as an inspiration for their paintings. Then the students were asked to use their imagination and creativity to paint a comic scene based on the theme of Nicholas Copernicus. The most exceptional comics were then awarded with prizes at the end of the workshop, and everyone received refreshments.
