Film Expo India 2026: Cinema as a Bridge Between Poland and India


The Polish Institute, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi, participated in Film Expo India 2026 taking place from 26th to 30th of August, highlighting the role of cinema in strengthening ties between Poland and India.
Day 1 of Film Expo India 2026 began on a warm and engaging note as actor Vindu Dara Singh, Mentor and Curator, Film Expo, welcomed Ms. Małgorzata Wejsis-Gołębiak, Director, Polish Institute at the VIP Lounge at Bharat Mandapam.
The meeting set the stage for a special conversation scheduled on Day 2 of the Film Expo with H.E. Dr. Piotr Antoni Świtalski, Head of Mission of the Republic of Poland, on the role of cinema, culture and creative collaboration in deepening India–Poland relations.
The conversation brought into focus possibilities for filmmakers, artists, cinematographers and storytellers from both countries to connect, collaborate and create new avenues of cultural exchange.
