The Ars Activa Foundation, in cooperation with Polish and Ukrainian organizations in New York, is organizing the “United for Peace” Gala Concert on November 9 at 8:00 pm at Weil Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall. Due to the prevailing geopolitical situation, the theme of this year’s concert will be a call for peace, especially peace in Ukraine. The concert will feature more than a dozen artists from Poland, Ukraine, the US and Canada, including Radosia Jasik – piano, Denis Savelyev – flute, Valeriya Sholokhova – cello, Iwo Jedynecki – accordeon, Karolina Mikołajczyk – violin, Mariusz Monczak – violin and Calisia Ensemble, who will perform outstanding works by composers from their respective countries, the music will be accompanied by words on peace by Saint John Paul II.
Proceeds from the concert are earmarked for the largest orphanage in Ukraine in Chernivtsi.
The concert is also a form of showing gratitude to those who have supported the Ukrainian people since the beginning of the war.
