Polish Higher Education Fair
On February 3-4, 2024, the Polish university fair is to be held in Chicago. The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), which, together with the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago and the Association of Polish Teachers in America, is organizing the event, will also present its offer. For two days, young people interested in studying in Poland and scholarship opportunities, as well as principals and teachers of Polish schools and parents, will be able to visit university stands.
Various universities from different parts of Poland will take part in the event:
A representative of the Study in Lublin project operating at the Lublin City Hall will also be present and will present the offer of the university based in Lublin.
Polish Science & International Mobility – Meetup Chicago
Scientists and representatives of universities, as well as the Polish scientific community and those interested in multi-level cooperation with Polish institutions, are invited to participate in the “Polish Science & International Mobility – Meetup Chicago” event.
The first in the series of “Polish Science & International Mobility” events was organized by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange in 2023 in New York, in close cooperation with the Consulate General in New York. The event was attended by approximately 60 Polish and foreign scientists interested in the Polish offer. The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange’s presence in the USA was accompanied by a number of meetings aimed at promoting the Agency’s offer. Moreover, the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange coordinated the participation of its two scholarship holders in the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, organized by the UN.
Why Poland?
There are many arguments for choosing Poland as a place to study. Studies at Polish public universities are free of charge, and if you choose a field of study conducted in English, the studies, although paid, are very attractive. The cost of living in Poland, even in times of inflation, is still much lower than in other parts of Europe or the USA, and university diplomas from Poland, as a European Union member state, are valued not only in Europe.
During meetings, study candidates will be able to learn, among others, what documents are required when submitting applications, what the conditions for studying in Poland are and what scholarships are offered by individual universities and institutions. It shall also be an opportunity to learn about the offers of courses at individual universities, and many of them offer new products that meet the needs of the modern market. It should also be emphasized that Polish physics, astronomy and mathematics rank very high in field rankings, and students of engineering and technical faculties are successful, e.g. in the Mars rover competitions every year.
