Embark on an unforgettable journey filled with emotions, as you experience the music of Fryderyk Chopin and Ignacy Paderewski, two world-famous pianists and composers. Ignacy Paderewski was an idol of the American audience, with popularity comparable to that of Elvis Presley and The Beatles. He was a friend to six U.S. presidents, a philanthropist supporting American composers, and one of the donors of the Washington Arch. The event will feature a short documentary film about Ignacy Paderewski in America.
The iconic music will be performed by outstanding pianists: Kate Liu, laureate of the Asia-Pacific Chopin Competition and bronze medalist of the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland; Kamil Pacholec, finalist of the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw, second prize winner at the Paderewski International Piano Competition; Liana Paniyeva, winner of the George Gershwin International Piano Competition and the American Prize 2021.
