The exhibition The Europe We Share was created by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland in cooperation with the Polish Robert Schuman Foundation, explores the values and traditions that unite Europeans.

21 years ago, on May 1, 2004, Poland, together with nine other countries became a full member of the European community. Joining the European structures marked the culmination of a long period of transformation following the collapse of the communist system in Central and Eastern Europe. The exhibition reflects on the values and traditions that unite Europeans, highlighting Poland’s lasting commitment to human dignity, democracy, and solidarity. It also celebrates a shared European way of life—shaped by prosperity, security, and a deep sense of belonging—especially meaningful in light of Poland’s current Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Living in Europe means not only enjoying shared values, heritage, and security but also offering them to others in need. It reflects a collective commitment to building a better future and facing global challenges side by side. Poland, with over a thousand years of history, proudly stands among the nations that champion human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and human rights—values that foster inclusion, tolerance, justice, and solidarity across the continent. The exhibition also celebrates the shared European lifestyle, characterized by a high standard of living, strong labour protections, environmental care, and consumer rights
