Join Our Team: The Film & Performing Arts Curator Open Position

The Film & Performing Arts Curator is a crucial member of the PCINY team, responsible for designing and implementing programs that showcase Polish films and performing arts to the American public. Working closely with the Director and the whole team, the Curator will contribute to promoting Polish culture and fostering artistic dialogue between Poland and the United States.

Key Duties Include:

· Curating, planning, and executing events, screenings, and performances that highlight the richness of Polish cinema and performing arts.

· Building relationships with artists, institutions, and cultural organizations in both Poland and the U.S. to facilitate collaborations and exchanges.

· Developing innovative programming that appeals to diverse American audiences while staying true to the essence of Polish culture.

· Representing PCINY at cultural events and festivals to expand the organization’s network and visibility.

· Collaborating with the communication specialist to market and promote events effectively through media and public outreach.

· Managing event logistics, including budgeting, scheduling, and liaising with venues and technical staff.

· Staying informed about trends and developments in Polish film and theater to ensure programming remains relevant and impactful.

Qualifications:

· Deep knowledge of Polish cinema, theater, and performing arts.

· Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with partners and audiences.

· Experience in curatorial work, cultural programming, or event management, particularly within a diplomatic or cross-cultural context, is preferred.

· Fluency in Polish is an asset but not a requirement; familiarity with Polish culture and heritage is essential.

· Permanent U.S. Work authorization required.
