On May 26-28, 2023, the 5th Chinese Glottodidactics Workshops for Polish language teachers in China took place in Beijing. Over 40 teachers from 16 Polish language teaching centers from all over China took part in the event.

The main guests of this year’s edition of the workshop were prof. Iwona Janowska from the Jagiellonian University, who gave a lecture “Mediation activities in teaching and learning Polish as a foreign language – from theory to practice”, and Dr. Piotr Kajak from the University of Warsaw, who presented a lecture “Cultural studies workshop of a Polish language teacher”.

Lecturers and lectors from several Chinese centers also gave their presentations. The selected topics touched on the most important issues related to teaching Polish – from theoretical issues to very practical advice on teaching Polish to Chinese students.
