On September 14, 2023, the Polish Institute in Beijing, in cooperation with Wu Promotion, organized on the premises of the Polish Embassy in Beijing a press conference on the 2023 tour of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra in China.

The official part of the event consisted of speeches by the Director of the Polish Institute – Mrs. Marta de Zuniga, the main manager of WuPromotion – Mrs. Maggie Zheng and the Assistant Director of the Warsaw Philharmonic – Mr. Piotr Dębski.

After the official part, journalists, philharmonic musicians and guests from Chinese music circles took part in a reception, which gave them opportunity to discuss future cooperation.

On September 6-15, 2023, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by maestro Jacek Kaspszyk, played six concerts in China, together with pianist Chen Sa, which were very enthusiastically received by the audience and critics.

The tour in China included concerts in Hangzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing, and the artists performed works by three composers: Penderecki, Chopin and Dvořák.
