            Kalinowski and Szlezer, friends since childhood, have a wonderfully natural rapport and there is   an arresting quality to their playing that gives life to the music – The Strad 

The celebrated Cracow Duo – comprised of cellist Jan Kalinowski and pianist Marek Szlezer – returns for a tour in California. The duo recently celebrated their twentieth anniversary of performing all over the world and recording a number of award-winning CDs. Drawing on this deep catalog of repertoire, they have prepared enticingly different programs for each of their concerts in Southern California and Nevada. The Cracow Duo’s Spring 2022 tour includes recitals in Paso Robles, Las Vegas, San Marcos, Los Angeles, La Jolla, San Diego, and Encinitas.

Cracow Duo will perform works by Polish and Polish-Jewish composers including Fryderyk Chopin, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Zygmunt Stojowski, Aleksander Tansman, Szymon Laks, Roman Ryterband among others. The duo will also perform music written by Jewish-Polish composer Aaron Alter as well as pieces by Astor Piazzola and JoséBragato. Their exciting programs will also feature U.S. and world premieres of music by Marcel Chyrzyński, Tomasz J. Opałka, Maciej Zieliński, Marta Ptaszyńska, Mateusz Bień and Dariusz Przybylski.
